Conversation with the Artist: Valeska Soares in Dialogue with Adele Nelson

Valeska Soares is a Brooklyn-based Brazilian artist.  Her work is predominantly sculptural while also encompassing photography, film, installation, and collage. She is a recipient of a John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Fellowship and has been represented by Galeria Fortes Vilaça in São Paulo, Eleven Rivington in New York, and Max Wigram Gallery in London.

PPAC Presents Philly Photo Day

On October 10, Philadelphia Photo Arts Center (PPAC) held their annual Philly Photo Day. PPAC then prints and hangs every single image – thousands – for a vast exhibition presenting an uncensored reflection of Philadelphia from countless of diverse lenses.
